About me
My adventure in education began in the mid-nineties when I was doing a degree in English language literature at St. Andrews University. Initially, my professional interests encompassed language teaching, 1st and 2nd language acquisition, and literacy development. During my childhood, I was slow to start reading and writing, and I did not know why. During the 1980s there was far less information regarding diverse and neurodivergent learners.
It was only during my career as a teacher in international schools, that I really began to gain an awareness of how important differentiation is. Having lived and worked in Tanzania, Vietnam, Uae, Saudi Arabia, German, and Austria. I have gained a wide range of experiences. I then continued to use that knowledge working with dyslexic children here in Austria. My goal is to help children and their parents to make desired changes using a flexible yet structured approach.
